In this tutorial we will use one magnetic – contact door sw / sensor and a buzzer for making a “noise” when a door is opened. Normally the reed is ‘open’ (no connection between the two wires). The other half is a magnet. When the magnet is less than 13mm (0.5″) away, the reed switch closes.

The TSL2561 luminosity sensor is an advanced digital light sensor, ideal for use in a wide range of light situations. Compared to low cost CdS cells, this sensor is more precise, allowing for exact lux calculations and can be configured for different gain/timing ranges to detect light ranges from up to 0.1 – 40,000+ Lux on the fly.

In this tutorial you will learn how to use one water flow sensor with an Arduino board.

The water flow sensor consists of a plastic valve body, a water rotor and a hall-effect sensor. When the water flows through the rotor, rotor rolls and the speed of it changes with a different rate of flow. The hall-effect sensor outputs the corresponding pulse signal.
