On Friday, October 12 at 19.00, at the local hackerspace P-space, the codebender team will give it’s first presentation of the project. We will give a short introduction of what has been done so far, our current state as well as the team’s future plans.
We will emphasize the open way of developing, our decision to keep the project 100% open source, and how developing open source products and/or services can not only be viable, but can also act as an advantage. For example, in our case, we were accepted by Mozilla as one of the 7 innovative projects to participate in WebFWD (more info on a future post!), a startup accelerator for open-source projects.
We will describe the architecture of the system and the infrastructure we use, analyzing the problems we encountered and the solutions we chose, given the requirements a real world app needs to meet.
The presentation will be an "open call" to developers and non-developers alike, who would like to learn the common issues encountered in the development of a SaaS platform, as well as developers that would be interested in contributing to the project itself (through documentation/tutorials or even development).
