codebender: hack the real world

There are 2 and a half weeks left before codebender’s workshop in Mozilla’s festival in London and we are offering a sneak preview of what’s going to happen there. In Saturday, Oct. 27 at 18.00, we are organizing a local Arduino workshop on our hackerspace in Patras, P-Space. Everyone is invited to learn why the Arduino is so awesome and how codebender allows you to program faster and easier.

A few words about the workshop:

We will use the famous Arduino platform to build projects that make our everyday lives easier and more pleasant. We will program an Arduino to interact with the physical world, and start building software that live outside the confines of our monitors.

Why come?:

Because we’ll show you how you can change your everyday life for the better, just with a little  patience and effort. And of course, because we’ll have a great time!

Who is it addressed to? What are the requirements?

You don’t have to know programming or electronics. It sure helps, but we’ll be there to guide you and answer all your questions. We want to show you that you don’t have to be a tech "guru" to build something really useful.

What should I bring?

A laptop, and an appetite for trying out new things. If you don’t have a laptop, you can still come and help in the parts that don’t require a computer, or just group up with someone else and work in teams.

Available Spots: 20

Due to the limited number of spots, if you are interested in attending the workshop, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject "P-Space Workshop".

Entrance: Free!
